Dragon’s Dogma 2 was just released, and Capcom says it will receive updates in the “near future” that will fix glitches and improve the game overall. The developer has clarified that these first patches will not improve the game’s frame rate, which has been a player complaint since it came out last week.
Even though critics have praised Dragon’s Dogma 2, its release has been met with harsh criticism from fans because it has microtransactions for in-game cash, and some players have had many technical issues.
Enhanced Customization, Housing in Dragon’s Dogma 2 Updates
Capcom states that the upcoming updates will bring about several important changes. Notably, the Pawn Guild will make many more “Art of Metamorphosis” items available. These items let players change how their characters or pawns look after they’ve been made. The Pawn Guild used to have only two of these modification tools at a time, but now it has 99 of them.
The changes are also meant to make it easier for players to find a permanent home earlier in the game. There are many benefits to owning a house, such as being able to rest and heal for free and getting things that your pawn got while adventuring with other people. Without a home, players’ maximum health decreases as they take damage if they don’t regularly stay at an inn or camp.
With the updates, console players can change the image settings, but Capcom says these changes will not have a big effect on frame rates. On the other hand, Steam users can look forward to better image clarity when they use DLSS Super Resolution and a fix for some models that aren’t very good.
Capcom has heard the community’s concerns about frame rate problems and said improvements will be made in this area in patches after these initial updates.
