Floki Inu (FLOKI) has sent an urgent warning to its community about scammers who might be trying to use the popular meme coin. People who follow the official X account were warned about false claims that people can buy Floki tokens on sites like Base or Solana. These things are not true.
The Floki Inu team made it clear that their coin can only be traded on the Ethereum and Binance blockchains. They gave the contract addresses so that they could be checked, and they warned people to be careful.
Warnings From Floki Inu
This news comes at a time when people are becoming more concerned about scams involving cryptocurrency. People who want to scam people often make fake tokens that look like real ones and trick people into buying them. Some people even send tiny quantities of fake tokens to wallets to make it look like the real tokens are there.
Even though these issues exist, the area of cryptography as a whole is making some progress toward betterment. New studies show that until 2023, the number of cryptocurrency scams will go down.
Chainalysis, a leading blockchain data platform, says that scam-related actions brought in 29.2% fewer funds than they did the year before. This drop shows that buyers are smarter now and that crypto platforms have taken stronger security measures.
But while cryptocurrency scams are going down, other types of cybercrime involving cryptocurrencies, like ransomware attacks and actions on darknet markets, seem to be going up.
