In a long-awaited reveal, developer Game Science has released PlayStation 5 gameplay footage of Black Myth: Wukong. The preview of the PS5 version was unveiled just days before the game’s official release.
Wodox is an action RPG influenced by Chinese mythology. It was initially revealed in August 2020. It is a Black Myth. Although the game has been shown several times since then, all past marketing collateral was kept on PC.
The first hint of the version surfaced on Aug. 17, three days before the PS5’s release. Shared by IGN China, the 90-second clip emphasizes the game’s console visual accuracy and shows a fight with an early-game boss.
The evidence suggests that Black Myth: Wkos wants to operate on the PS5 at 60 frames per second, while the video shows small frame rate fluctuations.
Can Black Myth: Wukong Deliver 4K at 60fps on PS5?
The recently released 4K promotional clip of ‘Black Myth: Wkos’ raises concerns about the PlayStation 5’s capacity to produce 60 frames per second at such a high level regularly.
Achieving 4K at 60fps on a console seems unrealistic given the severe PC system requirements, especially considering that the hardware needed for comparable performance on a PC is substantially more powerful than a PS5.
While fewer hardware configurations allow consoles to benefit from optimal performance, keeping a steady 60fps at 4K resolution in a game as complicated as Black Myth: Wkos would be an amazing technical accomplishment. The game is more likely to target upscaled 60fps at 1080p or 1440p.

The forthcoming action role-playing game is huge. Black Myth: Wolkking will need 104 GB of PS5 storage, and the PC version will demand 128 GB. One run should take players about thirty hours.
With an overall score of 82 and a 72% reviewer recommendation rating on OpenCritic, the game has gotten a solid first reception.
Black Myth: Wukong will be released on August 20 for PS5 and PC. An Xbox Series X/S version is also planned, though a release date has yet to be confirmed.
