The Dogecoin community is telling its node operators it’s time to get upgrading following the release of Dogecoin Core 1.14.9, saying it’s issued an urgent call to action. The newest version, released December 1, incorporates the inherit bugs in Bitcoin and Namecoin, meant to increase the network stability and uptime.
DOGE advocate Mishaboar pointed out that “if you are running Dogecoin Core, you should upgrade your node to the latest release, 1.14.9 (which includes important updates to fix bugs)” on Twitter.
Dogecoin Price Struggles Amid Resistance at $0.484
Developer Inevitable 360 echoed this sentiment, stressing the urgency of the situation: Upgrade as soon as possible: Critical: Upgrade to 1.14.9 Your Doge CORE. Not much has changed, and there is a quirrel disclosure floating around, everyone is asked to upgrade your Doge node.”
The upgrade is intended to strengthen the Dogecoin Blockchain’s integrity, remove vulnerabilities, and guarantee maximum network performance.
DOGE’s price struggles to find a foothold on the market front inside an ascending channel. Bulls attempted to break through $0.484 resistance on December 8, but bears kept pushing back and DOGE now trades at $0.4311, down 5.24 percent in the past 24 hours.
Traders will face trouble, key support levels at $0.41, $0.36, and $0.33. The cryptocurrency could further decline, and dip below the 50 day simple moving average (SMA) at $0.30. Conversely, a rebound could also spur another wave of bullish sentiment, with a likely breakout above $0.48 perhaps setting DOGE price on the course for $0.60.
The Dogecoin community is paying attention to both the technical updates and market moves as the cryptocurrency goes through these key moments.
