According to reports, millions of ETH, USDT, WETH, DAI, and USDC have been lost in yet another cyber attempt that targeted the decentralized cryptocurrency exchange FixedFloat.
An unknown party quickly took $2.8 million in Ethereum (ETH), Tether (USDT), Wrapped Ether (WETH), DAI, and USD Coin (USDC) from FixedFloat’s hot wallet on the Ethereum blockchain, according to information given by CyversAlerts. The attacker allegedly carried out the illegal transactions using eXch, a smart contract for token swapping.
FixedFloat’s Current Status
As of the time of this report, Cryptocurrency Exchange have not released any statements to the public about the incident, and ongoing technical maintenance was preventing access to their official website.
This current hack is a successful assault on FixedFloat after the exchange lost $26.1 million in February as a result of illegal access to its funds. The February breach’s contents are still unknown, but the project’s developers have downplayed the importance of such events in the past, calling the $26 million hack a minor problem.
