The venture capital arm of Gate.io has announced that it’s invested $20 million into the BNB Incubation Alliance, an alliance between Binance Labs and BNB Chain. According to a statement from Gate.io, the alliance is built to allow blockchain and Web3 startups to grow through funding, mentorship, and technical support.
The BNB Incubation Alliance brings venture capital firms, developer communities, and incubators together to support early-stage blockchain projects in a robust support set. Financing, professional coaching, and technical assistance are provided for startups to accelerate innovation in the sector.
Gate Ventures Invests to Boost Blockchain Innovation
Gate Ventures has invested in this alliance, hoping to beef up its capacity to nurture advanced blockchain applications. According to its 2025 investment roadmap, the venture firm pointed out its focus areas: advanced artificial intelligence (AI), AI-driven decentralized finance (DeFi), and quantum-resistant technologies.
Under this partnership, startups will also join the “Most Valuable Builder” (MVB) program, a BNB Chain initiative to boost blockchain projects with high growth potential. In supporting the alliance’s mission, this program complements the alliance by providing tailored support to emerging companies with strong growth potential.
Managing Partner of Gate Ventures Kevin Yang told CoinDesk the investment fits in with the firm’s broader strategy of scaling decentralized finance, AI, and other blockchain-based systems.
“We join forces with BNB Incubation Alliance to empower startups with the resources they need to foster transformational innovations in blockchain technology,” Yang said.
The additional resources the alliance provides to the startups involved within the alliance will include infrastructure support, marketing assistance, and increased funding opportunities. The efforts are meant to inspire a thriving ecosystem for blockchain entrepreneurs and technologists.
This is a strategic move by Gate Ventures, which comes at a time it is still a champion of blockchain and Web3 technologies progress and putting them firmly on the seat of a global venture capital leader.
