Blockchain services firm STORM Partners made a significant announcement during the Web3 Fest in Switzerland’s “Crypto Valley,” joined by significant projects including Cardano (ADA). The company unveiled the move of its headquarters from Montreux to Geneva and unveiled “Lightningbox,” a new Web3 Sandbox.
The Lightningbox project aims to enable big European companies to apply blockchain technology for their attempts at digital transformation. With institutional-grade tools, this project seeks to create a trustworthy environment where companies may use Web3 technology and create creative solutions.
With aspirations to soon include Life Sciences, Lightningbox first will focus on three fundamental elements inherent to Geneva: Impact, Consumer, and Finance. These areas of concentration were selected because local conventional industries looking to participate more deeply in the digital economy have great demand.
Lightningbox Attracts Blockchain Initiatives
To encourage invention inside the Lightningbox ecosystem, STORM Partners has also worked with integration firms. These mid-six figure partners have committed major resources and technological knowledge, therefore offering great help. Early contributors are law company Walder Wyss, cybersecurity provider Hacken, multiversX’s infrastructure, and stablecoin issuer Circle (USDC).
The Lightningbox project is four-phase: brainstorming and workshops, observation and enhancements, industry and community feedback, and last with testing and private launch campaigns. Industry leaders, entrepreneurs, and representatives of worldwide businesses including eBay, UNHCR, Hublot, BBVA, and UNICEF gathered at Decentral House’s Web3-oriented Corporate Innovation Day to make the announcement.
Notable blockchain initiatives including Cardano, Mina Protocol, MultiversX, and Hedera also took part to underline the importance of the event and Switzerland’s will to support crypto and blockchain acceptance.Emphasizing the need to build the blockchain sector by establishing a hub for “bright minds and disruptive projects” in the decentralized applications (dApps) area, Managing Partner of STORM Partners Sheraz Ahmed expressed excitement about the announcement.
Geneva has a rich history of innovation and global institutions; it is the ideal place to fuel this digital transformation. Local organizations that strive for global impact, such as the World Economic Forum, the United Nations, and many private banks, make Geneva the perfect location to steer and amplify the growth of blockchain worldwide
Located in Decentral House in Geneva, a center promoting community, cooperation, and blockchain technology development, STORM Partners will be Ahmed, who also started Decentral House, underlined how the ecosystem fosters creativity.
Respected speakers at the opening hailed the Lightningbox project. Co-Lead Giga Chris Fabian of UNICEF expressed excitement about the rising business interest in blockchain and innovation in Geneva. Head of Digital & Blockchain Solutions at BBVA Philippe Meyer underlined the need of blockchain technology in streamlining processes across sectors, including banking and finance, to assist the developing Industry 4.0.
