In a recent post on social media, Lucie, who is the official marketing lead for Shiba Inu (SHIB), warned the global Shiba Inu community about the risks that might come with the secret TREAT token.
Lucie said she planned to take a short break from the crypto world this week, and she made it clear that the TREAT token has not yet been released by the creators of SHIB.
This warning comes after a string of similar ones from Lucie and other members of the SHIB team. This is because scammers are still trying to trick users by selling fake TREAT coupons.
Shiba Inu’s TREAT Token Utility
The new TREAT token will likely have many uses, one of which is to provide liquidity for the SHI stablecoin, which is also being developed at the moment.
A recent Forbes story said that TREAT was already in circulation, which was not true. The Shiba Inu team keeps making it clear that the token has not yet been released.
In recent posts, members of the SHIB team have asked users to do a lot of research on tokens that are connected to the Shiba Inu ecosystem and Shibarium, its layer-2 answer. Since these tokens are often released on ShibaSwap, a decentralized market, the team said it would be hard to shut down any false tokens that might show up.
