Elon Musk’s artificial intelligence firm xAI is set to integrate its chatbot Grok across Telegram, following a newly announced one-year partnership between the two companies. Telegram CEO Pavel Durov confirmed the collaboration on May 28 via a post on X (formerly Twitter), outlining plans to embed Grok’s AI capabilities into the messaging platform’s core features.
According to Durov, Telegram will receive a total of $300 million from xAI, consisting of both cash and a share of the company. Additionally, from any xAI memberships purchased by the bank through its messaging app, the app will earn half of the revenue. Durov said that by the summer, Telegram’s billions of users will get the latest and most powerful AI tools available.
Grok AI Features Coming to Telegram Search Bar
A promotional video explaining the update said that Grok will appear in the Telegram search bar and feature threaded conversations, intelligent text editing, summaries of chats, filtered digests of documents, tools for managing inboxes and tools to mod program groups.
Musk’s collaboration with Grok was mentioned by Pacebut neither party had publicly commented on it as we wrote.
This news is happening at the same time as several key Telegram changes. The same day, stories appeared stating BlackRock could take part in Telegram’s $1.5 billion bond sale. The TON Foundation has also named Visa’s former crypto executive Nikola Plecas as its new vice president of payments.
Telegram has strengthened its connection with the TON Foundation, making Toncoin the only cryptocurrency used in the app starting in January.

The announcements on the back of Toncoin drove the token’s price up almost 20% very fast. According to CoinGecko, TON is trading at $3.60 and is the 19th biggest cryptocurrency with a market cap of $8.9 billion.
