TON Teleport BTC is a new infrastructure that was announced by the Telegram-based TON. Its goal is to make the Bitcoin blockchain more accessible and useful.
This function was added by the Open Network (TON) Foundation to connect Bitcoin (BTC) and make it easier for decentralized apps in its ecosystem to work with each other.
Blockchain networks usually work on their own, which makes it hard for them to talk to each other. This was fixed by Ethereum (ETH) with the Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM), which made its mainnet more compatible and easy to use.
Enhancing Bitcoin Access On TON
Bridges are another option that make it easy to move digital assets from one blockchain to another. TON Teleport BTC builds on this idea and wants to make it easier to buy and sell Bitcoin within the TON community.
The TON Foundation says that this bridge lets people use Bitcoin on native on-chain exchanges, lending sites, and other decentralized finance (DeFi) apps. Along with famous Telegram mini-games like Notcoin (NOT) and Hamster Kombat, the Open Network has grown a lot.
Its native token is ranked ninth in the world and has a market cap of over $18 billion. As of Tuesday, the blockchain was said to have 470,000 live wallets and give access to over 900 million Telegram users around the world.
