A significant global payment company called Mercuryo has announced that it is working with TON to offer services for converting regular currencies to cryptocurrencies for Tether (USDT) within the TON ecosystem.
The project started by adding Tonkeeper, a self-custody wallet that lets you make transfers on Layer 1 of The Open Network (TON), along with other digital currencies.
Executive Director of Mercuryo in Singapore, Aviessa Khoo, said she was happy that on-ramp services for USDT tokens had been added to the TON environment. The goal of these services is to make it easier for people to switch from fiat cash to USDT, which will speed up transactions across the network.

Mercuryo has announced that they will be adding off-ramp services during the spring season, in addition to the services they already offer. This feature will let users change cryptocurrency to fiat, meeting the needs of Wallet users and users of other popular wallets in the Toncoin community and making it more useful overall.
The TON Foundation has started a reward program that will give away 11 million Toncoin to encourage people to use USDT in its network. Pavel Durov, who started Telegram, made the news at the Token2049 conference. Durov talked about new Toncoin features as well, such as paying for ads, leaving tips in TON, selling NFT stickers, and making crypto-based account features better.
