Worldwide Asset Exchange (WAX) and Amazon Web Services (AWS) have announced a groundbreaking agreement that will speed up the adoption of Web 3.0. As a result of this partnership, the WAX blockchain network will be added to Amazon’s Managed Blockchain (AMB) service, allowing developers to create decentralized apps (dApps) easily.
Lukas Sliwka, Chief Technology Officer of WAX, discussed about how important the partnership was, saying, “Our partnership with AWS is a major step toward web3 mass adoption.” It is now easy for both blockchain-native and standard web2 developers to build apps on the WAX blockchain or add decentralized features to projects they already have.
Streamlining the Web3 Experience
Amazon Web Services (AWS) AMB is a fully managed service that lets users make secure decentralized apps (dApps) on public and private blockchains. By connecting to AMB, WAX will make it easy for developers to set up their nodes through the AWS console with just a few clicks. This will eliminate the need for complicated hand setups or relying on third-party node providers.
Developers can freely test and build on the WAX blockchain once it is live, working with the mainnet and testnets without any extra steps. WAX will offer a wide range of tools and services, such as the Cloud Wallet, single-sign-on (SSO), OAuth, a service for creating random numbers, a developer site, a cross-chain bridge, and a blockchain explorer, to make the onboarding process even easier.
Empowering Web3 Education and Adoption
As an official Amazon Solutions Provider, WAX will help developers learn how to use web3 development by giving them a wide range of guides, training materials, and support. Traditional web2 developers can quickly add decentralized features to their projects, like web3 games, digital asset markets, fungible and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and other decentralized apps (dApps). This integration helps both blockchain-native builders and traditional web2 developers.
“By uniting the power of blockchain with traditional Web2 frameworks, we can offer developers the best of both worlds, supercharging the growth of next-gen applications with the immense cloud computing capabilities provided by AWS,” said Dimitri Nikolaros, one of the top block producers on WAX.
With a focus on enhancing the practicality of blockchain technology in gaming, e-commerce, and digital collectibles trading, WAX blockchain employs tailored tools and incentive systems.
This approach has attracted over 140 web3 games to utilize WAX as their fundamental platform. Supporting this ecosystem are more than 2 million Unique Active Wallets, which collectively facilitated over 300 million transactions within the past month alone, showcasing the platform’s robust activity and engagement.
As a result of their strategic relationship, WAX and AWS have made it easier for more people to start developing for the web3 games. This has led to more innovation and faster adoption of decentralized technologies across many industries.
