ZetaChain has partnered with Google Cloud to support its Universal Blockchain and is a part of Google Cloud’s efforts to spur Web3 adoption and support cross chain applications.
According to a ZetaChain post announcing the partnership, this is being done so that Universal Apps can be created that can work with various blockchains, such as Bitcoin and Ethereum, to bridge the divide that often exists between blockchains.
Google Cloud Boosts ZetaChain with Validation and Developer Support
Under the partnership, Google Cloud will become a validator of ZetaChain and use its infrastructure to secure and scale the blockchain. In this implementation, you are verifying and recording transactions to make sure the blockchain is genuine and safe (secure ledger) for users.
The blockchain will also delegate one million native tokens across five validators in Google Cloud infrastructure, rewarding these activities needed to stay within the network secure and operating.
Access to Google Cloud’s Web3 Startups program, with cloud credits to help offset infrastructure costs, will also be given to developers on ZetaChain. The Blockchain testnet faucet will also be integrated into Google Cloud to allow developers to obtain test tokens for simplified testing and development of their apps.
Google Cloud is also separately supporting the BNB Chain ecosystem with a $10 million investment in its Most Valuable Builder (MVB) accelerator program geared to fostering decentralized application development on the BNB Chain.
